Blankenhain

Blankenhain is situated in a basin on the Ilm-Saale plateau and was first documented in 1252. The town is encircled by expanses of magnificent woodland. The roads leading into Blankenhain are lined with linden trees; hence the town's nickname ‘the linden tree town'. Located on the Beer and Castle Route and the Thuringian Porcelain Route, Blankenhain is the perfect place from which to embark upon a discovery tour.

You can visit Blankenhain Palace , the pharmacy museum or enjoy a shopping experience with a difference at the Weimar Porcelain Manufactory founded in 1790. The magnificent countryside is a little bit of paradise on earth and is ideal for long walks.
