Goethe´s Garden House II in Bad Sulza

August 27 2002, the eve of Johann Wolfgang Goethe's 251st birthday, saw the official opening of the second Goethe summer house just below the Toskana thermal baths in Bad Sulza .

This high-profile duplicate of the original summer house in Weimar's Ilm Park was originally erected in 1999 as part of the European City of Culture celebrations and is well worth a visit. The summer house also hosts temporary exhibitions, workshops and other events.
