The Middle Ilm
Valley, a 150 km² conservation area, is the perfect spot to unwind. This is a
place where you can get away from the day-to-day grind, encounter rare plants,
and simply revel in nature's tranquillity - whether that be at the Hohenfelden
Reservoir campsite or on the banks of the river Ilm. There are well-signposted
and beautifully prepared cycling and hiking trails for active holidaymakers,
which stretch right across the Weimarer Land region, from Kranichfeld to Bad
Sulza.
